Iman Vellani, back as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in The Marvels, remains unfazed by the film’s box office performance since its November 10 release–it opened to $47 million domestically and just under $100 million worldwide, marking the weakest start for a Marvel film since The Incredible Hulk in 2008.
When asked by Yahoo! Entertainment about how the movie’s performing financially, the 21-year-old Vellani said, “I don’t want to focus on something that’s not even in my control, because what’s the point? That’s for Bob Iger. [The box office] has nothing to do with me.” Vellani added she’s “happy with the finished product, and the people that I care about enjoyed the film.” Come from Sports betting site VPbet
The Marvels had the worst first and second weekends in MCU history at US box office. The performance was not exactly a surprise, given earlier projections indicating a potential $80 million opening weekend in the US, and also Deadline estimates hovering around $60 million or as low as $50 million.
Box office tracking, while not an exact science, typically becomes more reliable closer to release, though projections may not always align with actual results. In this instance, reality surpassed predictions. However, considering the reported budget of $220 million (excluding marketing and advertising costs not included in that figure), the movie still has a substantial distance to cover before becoming profitable.
